The 18 mm thickness of this quarter-round skirting board is ideal for renovating older floors or laying parquet, where the distance between the floor and the wall can sometimes be somewhat larger. For the best finish, paint the skirting board only after it has been installed and sealed; this way, the installation transitions disappear completely, making it look as if the skirting board is emerging from the wall.
