For installations requiring just a little more strength than a standard plug, choose the Smart Nail Plug 8.0 x 60 mm. With an effective anchoring depth of 40 mm and a robust nylon sleeve, this plug is the favorite for securing wooden slats or metal frames up to a thickness of 20 mm (tfix).


Tip from Bouwshop Utrecht: Always ensure you drill the hole 10 mm deeper than the length of the plug (in this case, 70 mm total from the front of the wood). This way, you can be sure that grit at the bottom of the hole does not hinder the full expansion of the plug.
