Choose tiltable recessed spotlights with a shallow installation depth — ideal for niches and wall sections in plasterboard. A warm white (2700K) color temperature creates the best ambiance. The Slim-3 (3W, ultra-thin) is popular for narrow niches.
🚿 Recessed Spotlights for the Bathroom
In a bathroom, IP44-rated recessed spotlights are required in wet areas. Choose a white or matte chrome model and combine it with a suitable LED lamp (GU10 or MR16). Always check the IP rating on the product label.

What is the difference between GU10 and MR16?
GU10 spots operate on 230V (mains voltage) and do not require a transformer, making them easy to connect. MR16 spots operate on 12V and require an LED driver or transformer, but are more compact and suitable for shallower installation depths, such as in a media wall niche.
How many recessed spotlights do I need per m²?
As a rule of thumb for general lighting, you should estimate 1 recessed spotlight per 1.5 to 2 m² for a 6W LED spot. For accent lighting in niches or a media wall, determine the placement based on the desired effect.
